The doubloon is a coin in the Eternal Empire which has become the official currency of the realm, even though it is technically worth two of the old Piasters (thus, double). It is a golden coin which is struck with an image of the current emperor on one side (heads), and the coat of arms on the other (arms), representing a value of about a month's wages for a menial labourer.

One Doubloon represents a value of two Piasters. The Piaster divides into eight Pesetas or pieces-of-eight (so a doubloon is 16 pesetas), which are silver coins that in turn divide into twenty copper Sous.
