FTPS typically uses ports 21 and 990. FTPS, also known as FTP Secure or FTP-SSL, is an extension of FTP that adds support for the Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) cryptographic protocols. In explicit mode, the client must request security from the server before any sensitive data is transmitted, while in implicit mode, the connection is automatically encrypted. FTPS can operate in two modes: explicit and implicit.
