The Imperial Calendar works just like our own, with 12 months and 365 and a quarter days. Leap years occur at the same rate as in real life. Gameplay starts on the 1st of January, 1700, which is roughly equivalent to “some time between 1680 and 1815” in our time and counts as the start of the century, because zero indexing.
