Commanding the Inconnu river, Ritschkow is a minor trading town that survives mostly by charging lesser fees than neighbouring Fente and Steppitz. The western approach to the port by sea is hidden from view by forested hills, creating a somewhat precarious situation as ships may appear suddenly.
