Fort Fach is (luckily) situated out of the way, and has since time immemorial been a playground for Science! That is, until the fateful day the Jägerbrau was invented here. Made of the waters of the river Fach and a special collection of very secret ingredients distilled just so, the Jägerbrau transforms men into monsters, if they do not die from the concoction.
Fort Fach “trains” Jägers. They are blood-thirsty (but not necessarily simple-minded) creatures who live for one thing: fighting. It takes 1d6 weeks, 50 doubloons per soldier and detachment strength is reduced by half (ignoring normal rules about detachment size) to produce a Jäger detachment. In return, Jägers count quadruple in battle and cause 10% additional casualties to the opposing side in battle, even when losing.
Jägers seldom leave Fort Fach, and the Jäger-Corps is stationed here–it contains both Jägerregiments and normal regiments.
