Louise was targeting completing a full run and has made her dream a reality. Louise is originally from Fort William, Scotland, but now calls Queenstown, New Zealand, her home, where she’s immersed in the thriving mountain biking scene. She is currently ranked 14th in the world and recently won the British National Championships the week before attending Red Bull Hardline UK for the second time. The 29 year old completed a timed seeding run today becoming the first female rider to qualify in the event’s history. The only real issue I’ve had with the Wahoo ELEMNT RIVAL is that connecting to GPS being a bit slow and a bit ‘wandery’ when the weather’s bad and under tree cover.

Can't really justify £300 odd even at swimming 3 times/week. I had an Instinct Solar, and similar to others I found the screen text a little small, so I replaced it with an Instinct Crossover Solar, which has the benefit of conventional hands, so its easy to see the time at a glance. I think the Epix Pro in the mid size (47mm) would be brilliant, but I can't justify it as a riding watch, as I wear an Apple watch for daily use and swimming and prefer the Apple connectivity. I seem to see the same stats in GC with expected minor discrepancies, however for some reason the Forerunner has guessed the amount of fluid I've lost - that's the only one I can see not missing. What I'm wondering now is if I don't set the activity going on the watch, will it record my elevated HR as say, calories burned (or training stress or whatever), and then also add the calories burned from the ride? If not then yep you'll need to manually delete the edge touring gps log once uploaded.
Bike rides are only recorded on the Edge (I sometimes broadcast HR from the Fenix). I have an Edge and Fenix and found that they both recorded the same activity, logged them both in the Connect app with slightly different stats. Scottish mountain bike rider has made history in Wales. If you want a well priced smart watch that gives usable data then the ELEMNT Rival is worth a look, especially at the current price. There are certainly higher spec and  BUY XANAX WITHOUT PRESCRITION fancier smart appliances out there but this does everything I want and gives more data than I need.

As that’s all garmin needs to work out training load etc. Only reason I can think to start the watch is to measure HR, easily fixed with an HR strap. In terms of watching the events on your telly/phone/computer, as usual the  BBC will be showing some of the racing via the iPlayer Red Button thingy. And Warners Brothers Discovery+ will also being broadcasting stuff via its usual pay-to-view channels/sites/apps.
This enables the Polar Flow app to give you training feedback as well as calories used and so on. The graph afterwards looks pretty good though so I'm sure the averages are fine. I'm happy with it for recording group rides or Zwift where I've got power to ride to. I'd maybe use a strap on the velodrome to judge what speeds to hold during intervals if riding solo.
Route Finding and Recording
I've had a Vivoactive 4 for a couple of years (second hand from ebay). I need to charge it a couple of times a week but I have a charging cable on my desk so just plug it in when I'm on a call. While Garmin hardware is mostly OK, updates (mine at least) need to go through Garmin Express, and becasue I habitually use a chrome book, have to fire up an old Windows laptop I keep solely for this purpose.
Also strava (if you auto sync to that) will upload the first ride that syncs if they're identical, so complete the ride on your watch first, then the gps a minute or so later. From weather forecasts, a compass, heart rate monitoring (although I am sceptical of any watch’s HRM accuracy), sleep monitoring, tide times and even as a remote control for your phone camera and so on. The customisability of the display is really good. The battery life is excellent; though obviously frequent GPS usage will drain the battery quicker. Yet even with a fairly active schedule, I have managed to get at least a week or two out of it before recharging. Route recording seems accurate and glitch free.
Once I've finished a ride, I save it on the Edge. Admittedly only recently acquired/started using the Edge (Also use an Etrex for nav.) and not looked into using both at the same time. I use a a HR monitor, and now if cycling just start the Edge. I can't remember which may round it works, but there is some functionality to replicate some field display from one device to the other but I've never used, and I can't think of any reason why it would be needed anyway.
The last rider off the ramp immediately went green in his home race and finished the run four seconds ahead of Asa Vermette (Frameworks Racing/5Dev) having been first at every split. Both riders had better luck than Sacha Earnest (Trek Factory Racing) though, the New Zealander crashed in training ahead of the final and suffered a separated AC joint. "Words can’t describe how this feels, it’s been such a rough season and all I’ve been thinking about for the past weeks has been doing well at this race and showing everyone I can still win a race," Dunne said. GC is smart enough to see an activity recorded during that time and only count the calories once. That's ridiculous if you want to use it as an activity tracker. Manually disable the wrist HR before every run or ride then re-enable it afterwards?
