Which Properties Appear on the Hyatt Prive List? The Hyatt Prive list spans the brand's most design-forward and service-intensive properties, including Park Hyatt flagships in cities like Paris, Tokyo, and Milan, along with Alila, Andaz, and select Grand Hyatt resorts in leisure destinations such as the Maldives, Bali, and Mexico's Riviera Maya. The list is not static; Hyatt periodically adds newly opened properties or removes hotels that no longer meet the service benchmarks required for the designation. This rotation matters practically, because a property that was on the list last year may have shifted terms, so confirming current status with an advisor before assuming benefits apply is a necessary step rather than a formality.

If an upgrade is availability-based rather than confirmed at booking, the hotel isn't obligated to provide it during a sold-out period, though the breakfast and property credit typically still apply regardless. This is exactly why it's worth asking your advisor upfront whether your specific upgrade is guaranteed or conditional.

The two systems are not mutually exclusive, either. A Globalist member booking through a Hyatt Privé advisor doesn't lose their status benefits - the two can often stack, giving loyalty-tier guests an additional layer of amenities like the property credit on top of what their status already guarantees. This combination tends to produce the single best outcome available: guaranteed upgrade eligibility from status, plus the credit and lounge perks from Privé.

Not directly within the same Prive reservation, since Prive bookings run on cash rates, but many travelers split longer stays, using points for some nights and a Prive cash booking for others, or use co-branded card points as a statement credit to offset the overall cost.

No. Hyatt Prive is a travel-advisor-only channel, so bookings made directly on Hyatt's consumer website will not include Prive amenities. You need to go through an agency or advisor that has been specifically granted Prive status by Hyatt.

Now layer in points. If you're a World of Hyatt member with a co-branded credit card, you might redeem accumulated points for a statement credit worth roughly 300 dollars against the cash charge, or you might apply a free-night award certificate to one of the five nights and pay Prive rates for the remaining four. Either approach reduces your net cost while the Prive benefits, breakfast, credit, and upgrade potential remain intact across the entire stay, since those are attached to the reservation rather than to how many nights you personally paid for in cash versus points. Accredited advisors typically work for agencies with a documented Hyatt Prive partnership, which is worth confirming directly before booking. Many luxury-focused travel agencies list their program affiliations on their websites, and asking the advisor to confirm accreditation is a reasonable first question.

Geographically, the collection leans heavily toward destinations where Hyatt has invested in flagship-level construction and renovation, meaning the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and major European capitals are particularly well represented. A traveler comparing two similarly priced Hyatt properties in the same city may find that only one carries the Prive designation, which is often the deciding factor when the amenities package is factored into the total value of the stay. This is where the comparison becomes less about brand loyalty and more about which specific hotel, on a specific list, offers the strongest return for the same nightly rate. Click That Link

Suppose you book a standard King room at a Park Hyatt through Hyatt Prive for a three-night stay. On arrival, the front desk sees the reservation tagged for the program and checks suite or upgraded-category availability for those three nights. If a Junior Suite or Park Deluxe room is open across your entire stay, you're typically moved into it at no additional charge, along with breakfast credit and the property amenity credit applied to your folio. The upgrade isn't guaranteed by contract, but occupancy data suggests non-elite Prive bookings still convert to upgrades at a meaningfully higher rate than a comparable public-rate booking, simply because the hotel has been asked directly to prioritize the reservation. Questions to Ask Before Confirming Your Prive Reservation Before finalizing a booking, a few clarifying questions save considerable frustration later. Ask whether the room upgrade is confirmed at booking or subject to availability at check-in, since these are meaningfully different guarantees. Ask exactly what the property credit can be applied toward, because some resorts restrict it to spa or dining while others allow it against nearly any on-site charge. And ask whether your World of Hyatt elite status will be recognized alongside the Prive perks, since a good advisor will confirm this in writing rather than leaving it to chance at the front desk.
