Levitra belongs to a classification of medications known as phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. These medications prevent the breakdown of a naturally occurring substance in the body known as cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). Increased levels of cGMP improve the relaxation of blood vessels.
This means that a licensed health care provider must authorize the use of this medication. Do not exceed the dosage prescribed or discontinue using Levitra without consulting your health care provider first. If you experience any of these side effects, seek medical attention immediately.
Typical dose
Ensure you give your prescriber your full medical history including any medication you take or medical conditions you may have. Levitra works by inhibiting the PDE5 enzyme, which is responsible for breaking down cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the penile tissue. During sexual arousal, nitric oxide (NO) is released, which increases cGMP levels. This relaxes the smooth muscles in the penis and improves blood flow, resulting in an erection. By blocking PDE5, BUY XANAX WITHOUT PRESCRITION Levitra helps maintain higher cGMP levels, enhancing the erectile response.

This isn’t the case — if you’re able to get an erection on the 10mg dose, a 20mg dose isn’t going to beat that. This is why your prescriber will start you on 10mg, increasing you to 20mg only if 10mg doesn’t offer you results. Levitra 20mg is what your doctor may recommend if you’ve tried the 10mg dose a few times, didn’t get the results you’re looking for and didn’t experience side effects. Always follow the directions on your prescription label carefully. Also, make sure to ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain anything you don’t understand. If you take certain medications, your doctor may prescribe a lower dose of Levitra.
Sudden loss or decrease in hearing, sometimes with ringing in the ears and dizziness, has been rarely reported in people taking PDE5 inhibitors, including Levitra. It is not possible to determine whether these events are related directly to the PDE5 inhibitors, to other diseases or medications, to other factors, or to a combination of factors. If you experience these symptoms, stop taking Levitra and contact a doctor right away. Your doctor will probably start you on an average dose of vardenafil tablets and increase or decrease your dose depending on your response to the medication. If you are taking the rapidly disintegrating tablets, your doctor will not be able to adjust your dose because the rapidly disintegrating tablets are only available in one strength.

By relaxing blood vessels, Levitra encourages blood flow more readily to the penis during sexual stimulation. This effect can help men achieve and maintain an erection during sexual activity. The recommended starting dose of vardenafil for most people is 10 mg taken about an hour before sexual activity. The dose can be increased to a maximum of 20 mg or decreased based on its effectiveness and the presence of side effects. Does not directly cause penile erections, but affects the response to sexual stimulation.
