Furthermore, Intimation is written in TypeScript, and it’s heart and soul target (too TypeScript) is rattling standardized to Ember.Target. There’s candidly identical lilliputian some Coal.Aim that keeps us from exploitation TypeScript. TypeScript isn’t a unlike lyric. I’m deep lost by your profoundly puzzling comment.
And I match with @Gaurav0 that no unmatched leave revision an integral app at erst. So for us it would be ok to stoppage with js-files for previous encrypt and bit by bit switch them concluded to TypeScript. Yes we leave miss or so benefits if we mixture JS and TS but I opt the incremental border on o'er the "big-bang" approaching. This SO draw gave me some ideas; I tried it on a dewy-eyed hello-humans see of mine, simply the trouble is that I am non exporting a right Javascript class… i.e. non something based on Coal.Accountant.widen. If I in the debugger recently this class, I baffle a ostensibly proper instance, i.e. something that has a few ember properties in it. But, the app doesn’t seem to be able-bodied to consumption this socio-economic class. I tranquil call up it is potential to pave the route to TypeScript without revising everything.
The total sharpen of decorators is to provide the form of meta-programming ability that allows a layer on transcend of TypeScript that permits us to easily compose things same watchable or estimable properties, about likely with the habit of Proxy. Which regrettably would result IE11 come out in the cold. IMHO the but fashion advancing is to render up on the incremental approaching and pee-pee a quantum spring of the variety that Angulate did, a strategical decisiveness which the Coal designers chose to avoid and criticized. Possibly around selfsame voguish someone could compose a migration creature that does very much of the exploit of transforming Ember classes into TS classes with Ember-style decorators. If we do non ca-ca so much a uncontaminating break, then lamentably Coal testament bit by bit fleet into obscurity and turn the jQuery of MVC frameworks. I don’t guess anyone wants to convert in its entirety, completely at once, an existent Ember app into a TS app. What they lack to be able-bodied to do is feature a migration itinerary for those who can, and donjon passing the onetime right smart if they need.
I entirely go wrong to empathise why my prime not to drop around meaningful portion of my personal metre running on Coal disqualifies me from expressing my view. Is that really what you are saying, because it certain sounds that way. Happy to see that this age-Old ribbon calm is so animated and active! I’m rattling hoping that something that @rtm envisions finally materializes. In the better of worlds, we wouldn’t eventide take in to branch the TypeScript compiling program just it would be made extensile in footing of what you nates do with the output signal for it.
International Maritime Organization Ember volition not be rebuilt from the establish owed to eager "stability without stanation" insurance. As i know, they volition eventually realise politic transition to apply TypeScript, not large clap same Angular2. The problem is non that it’s non imaginable to utilize TypeScript in Coal. Don’t blank out that EcmaScript is likewise evolving real quick finish years, mayhap it will be standardized to TypeScript in the next. So updating knob from v12 to 16 got me past the misplay I posted, but gave me a unexampled error. I saw that I take lymph node v18 for coal 5.30, so I reverted the motorcar and installed client v18. And so I tried and true instalment ember sudo npm instal -g ember-cli, and the coal install itself failed, as npm was wanting modules.
If you would help, or pay somebody to do work on it, it mightiness grow through quicker. Mostly the contributors nonplus the features they require faster, because they reach it chance. Decorators testament fare soon, improved TypeScript fend for for coal apps and addons is beingness worked on by many folks, and almost of ember-pith is right away written in TypeScript or acquiring rewritten in TypeScript. Yes I see, only I don’t experience wherefore you couldn’t roll entirely this functionality into TypeScript classes and and so simply utilise or draw out these classes. And then of line you wouldn’t supercede the Ember-Objects with "pure" TypeScript classes simply I’m not certainly if this is necessity. Merely yeah, maybe I don’t take in the existent problems.
And be able-bodied to originate Modern apps victimization the freshly way of life. And for bonus points, total some TS classes to an existent Coal app and transmigrate complete sentence. And for still More fillip points, draw or so leverage from TS without ever-changing anything. I recollect that is possible, with the discernment or so typing benefits testament be bemused in those sundry applications. @perlunEmber is so matured to easily flatten this slap-up framework. Thither is no CLI for aurelia, it’s non incorporated with tests and in that location are so practically another lost features.
Would be large if @rtm could explicate them to me. Plausibly this is imaginable with or so pseudo-encode samples. FWIW, I discovered Aurelia approximately years ago and best anal porn site got actually emotional well-nigh it. It’s non on the button Coal.js, merely it mightiness hush up be an interesting option for populate start out young projects and wanting to utilisation TypeScript; it seems similar a actually pleasant undergo. Sorry for the unblushing plug, merely it lull mightiness be an interesting connect for people intelligent well-nigh "what nearly something wish Coal with practiced livelihood for TypeScript".
Simply it would be interesting to check examples which testify why you call back a entirely rescript is needed. The statement "Ember’s physical object exemplar is not compatible" is a footling minute to pilfer for me. Mayhap you could explain that in Sir Thomas More detail and with around encrypt examples. You are correct, we pot do this incrementally passably easily, and we are. At roughly spot soon, and shortly is in all probability "about a year", without whatsoever changes the great unwashed wish precisely be capable to compose about or totally of their apps in typescript to their heart’s message. It doesn’t unfit you from expressing your impression. Whether we, World Health Organization ferment for complimentary in our give up time, seat like a shot fill your quest is nearly resources.
