-The Sinhogi is a network of semaphore towers that spans across the [[Eternal Empire]] finished relatively recently. It allows for near-real time communication, however it is both closely watched and tightly guarded. That means any messages sent across the network are visible to all players, and the [[Sinhogi#Sinhogi Watchmen's Corps|Sinhogi Watchmen's Corps]] garrison the fortified towers. It's also quite expensive for people who are not the emperor to use, in order to pay for the enormous cost of operating the network. An exception was made for the [[Journaux de Shandarsher]], the capital’s newspaper, which, deemed important enough by important enough people, can use the Sinhogi network for free.+The Sinhogi is a network of semaphore towers that spans across the [[countries:Eternal Empire]] finished relatively recently.  ===== Sinhogi Watchmen’s Corps ===== ===== Sinhogi Watchmen’s Corps =====
Both guards and staff of the Sinhogi network, the Watchmen’s Corps is relatively new, but full of pride and dedication. Both guards and staff of the Sinhogi network, the Watchmen’s Corps is relatively new, but full of pride and dedication.
They wear bright yellow coats and dark green trousers and their signature hat is a dark green balmoral bonnet with a golden badge picturing a simple Sinhogi tower. It takes about 10-15 of them staff a tower, working in shifts to ensure all-day operations, and they live in simple barracks close to the tower they are assigned to. Because of the value of the Sinhogi network, they are armed with fancy [[rifle|rifles]], which means they are dangerous at longer distances than the average musketeer. They are also no strangers to skirmish tactics. Former members of the Sinhogi Watchmen’s Corps often make themselves available as mercenaries. They wear bright yellow coats and dark green trousers and their signature hat is a dark green balmoral bonnet with a golden badge picturing a simple Sinhogi tower.  +===== Thoughts and conundrums =====

+The Game Master will have to keep an eye out for when people are not in reach of the network and assign/unassign the appropriate role in discord. Active Sinhogi Watchmen will refuse to send messages that aren’t in clear text, mercenaries may not have those scruples. Daily news are transmitted at or around 8 am, scheduled in advance unless breaking news happen. For balance reasons they shouldn’t report on military movements (but may report on sieges)—in lore terms the Journaux de Shandarsher //is// based in the capital and is typically uninterested in provincial matters.
